Brasserie Zedel is definitely worth a try if you are visiting London, or if you are a Londonder and fancy somewhere new to tick off the list of 'Restaurant's we must try'.

Ben's parents were down visiting us for the weekend, so it was the perfect excuse to take them back to a restaurant we know they loved. (Not that Ben or I need excuses to go out for a nice meals!)

Brasserie Zedel is a French restaurant serving bistro style food with art deco interiors – It does almost feel like you are stepping back into the 1920’s.

From the outside, it looks like a very small French bar with a few tables outsite to sit and have drinks and watch the world pass by.

Its not until you walk inside and head downstairs towards the brasserie that you realise just what an impressive building you are in. Obviously I had my (Bens') iphone with me snapping all the way down.

Impressive dining room right?

I seem to have a slight obsession with pretty tiles at the moment too.. these were in the ladies bathroom. Always snapping for interior inspo.... for the house I do not yet own.

Now, this may look like I ordered three courses of desert, but I did not... as tempting as that may be. Anybody who knows me even slightly will know that I have one HUGE sweet tooth, and whenever I go to a restaurant the desert section is the first part I look at. Maybe I shouldn't admit that?

So here we have... White chocolate cheesecake YUM! Profiteroles with chocolate sauce DOUBLE YUM! And finally, Praline chocolate gateaux, which sadly wasn't as good as I was expecting. Not to worry though, I had plenty to choose from. (By the way - not being on a strict diet anymore is fabulous)

We did order some 'proper food', (I just didn't manage to get blog worthy pictures) but we had french onion soup, quiche lorraine, beef bourginon, steak hache.... and all were delicious.

It is located minutes from piccadilly circus tube station so it really easy to get to. If you are a tourist visiting London and never know where to eat... Go here! It is such a lovely and memorable place to dine at and stops you going to the usual chain restaurants and eating overpriced food you could eat anywhere in the country.  Plus, it is super reasonably priced with mains ranging from £9.50 - £25.00.  I just cant wait to go back again!

Brighton Beach

Hey! So I'm finally getting around to doing this blogging thing and I am going to share a few pictures from my trip to Brighton a few months ago. Those of you who know me /follow my Instagram page (@rosie_and_gym), will know that up until recently I was preparing to enter my first bikini bodybuilding competition.  So when we took this trip, the boyfriend and I were both on a strict diet, meaning that we had to avoid all the delicious food around... doughnuts, fish and chips, ice cream etc (Sob).

Luckily, we stumbled across a really nice café called Grow 40 along one of the little streets. With me having a slight egg obsession, I ordered an omelette with ham and mushroom, whilst Ben had chorizo with bacon jam on toast… with a side of chipolatas. Got to get that protein fix! Both meals were delicious, and despite it being such a simple meal, it was possibly the best omelette I have ever had… (Sorry dad!), they even managed to roll it. How do they do that!?!?

We spent the rest of the day wandering around the lanes - (which are the perfect place to go vintage shopping if thats your thing), playing the penny machines in the arcades and finishing off with a mooch along the seafront.
If you are ever in Brighton I would definitely recommend going to Grow 40 for a brunch/ lunch, it was delicious and a lovely place to sit on a Sunday afternoon.

What was I saying about me being on a strict diet? ...Ooops!
